Although the sources to Beethoven's piano concerto op. 19 are generally known, many misconceptions and misinterpretations are put right in this Barenreiter Urtext edition. Jonathan Del Mar corrects misreadings of Beethoven's autograph which were already present in the first edition and had subsequently been incorporated into other editions of this work.
